Function Guessr is an interactive educational game designed to build your intuition for mathematical functions. It works by reversing the typical classroom workflow: instead of drawing a graph from an equation, you must guess the equation from the graph.

How it Works

The game follows a simple loop:

1. Observe: A graph of a mystery function $f(x)$ is generated.
2. Guess: You input a function equation (like x^2 or sin(x)).
3. Refine: Your function is drawn on top of the target.
4. Win: If your function matches sufficiently close, you win!

Why Play?

Calculus and Algebra are often taught abstractly. Students learn to manipulate symbols without understanding what they look like.

By playing Function Guessr, you develop a visual library of mathematical behaviors. You'll instantly recognize that a "U" shape implies an even degree polynomial, or that a wave implies a trigonometric function.

Classic Mode

The standard single-player experience. (Login Required)

• Maps: Play through generated challenges. (Campaign Mode in development)

Competitive Mode (Multiplayer)

Challenge other players in real-time battles.

• 1v1: Head-to-head function guessing.
• Ranking: Win matches to earn Elo and climb the Global Leaderboard.
• Real-time: See your opponent's progress and speed.

Every day at 00:00 UTC, a new set of 5 challenges is generated. Everyone in the world gets the exact same problems. Compete for the highest score on the daily leaderboard!
